All–
At 10:00 a.m. this morning you helped Jonathan Meisner and Michele Armstrong make history by becoming the first President and Vice President of the Appalachian State Student Body to come from outside the SGA in modern memory. A thanks and a congratulations go out to everyone that voted, followed by the campaign staff and the candidates themselves.
Now comes the transition, and if Jonathan and Michele are going to be truly different, it is going to require that the work for more than just themselves is not finished. The hard work has just begun.
We are calling on members of every section of the Appalachian community to hold Jonathan and Michele accountable by working with them in the Student Government Association’s senate and cabinet.
Even when one man inspires, it still take an army to inspire change. Take this challenge to make something more of our student government, whether you want to defend tailgating or fight ignorance, expand recycling or explore diversity, if you want a responsible budget or the communication void to be filled, join Jonathan and Michele in become part of what has clearly become a movement to revamp the purpose of our student government.
