ASU Cycling Team Endorses Meisner-Armstrong Campaign!

The ASU Cycling Team has decided unanimously to endorse the Meisner-Armstrong Campaign.  If any club or organization would like to do so as well, please send an email to jonathanmicheleSGA@gmail.com with a photo of your group so we can put it on our website.

We really appreciate all the support we have received from students and organizations as a whole.  We hope that the student body realizes that we are working as hard as we can to ensure that the administration hears ASU students.  We hope that you will put your faith in our ability to get things done at Appalachian State University.

Thank you again for your support!

Hello App State world!

Thanks for checking out the official Meisner-Armstrong blog! There is probably a lot you are looking for in the next Student Body President, and a lot you want to know about exactly who all of these candidates are. Here are a few things about me:

I was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. I have two younger sisters. One is a freshman here at ASU. The other will be in high school next year. I’m a junior and majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. I hope to one day own my own business in Boone, NC. Currently, I serve as the president for the Men’s Lacrosse team.

I app-solutely love ASU and want to leave it better than I found it. This is something many of my teachers and role models at ASU have told their students to strive to do; it is something that I will strive to do. If I were graduating this spring instead of next year I think I would have left this University a better place than I found it; however, I truly believe that I would be selling myself short if I didn’t try and impact the school in a greater way. To me, being the student body president of the great App State is not about building a resume, but about taking on the responsibility of representing the entire student body. This means sticking up for all students and making sure your best interests are heard and acknowledged by the administration.

Michele and I have been to many student groups around campus and have really listened to the concerns they have expressed. We learned a lot about things we didn’t even know existed. We have built our platform on information we gathered from these groups. Our platform is by no means a final list of things we will strive to accomplish. It is simply what the students so far have told us is important to them.

If elected, we hope that students will continue to communicate to us things they wish to see at this University so we can strive to make it a reality. Also, there is no one thing on our platform that will outweigh any other in terms of our commitment. Everything we will strive to do is vitally important to someone or some group on this campus and it will be our job and responsibility to make sure that we do everything possible to make sure that their voice is heard.

If any of you have any questions, comments or concerns please leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail at jonathanmichelesga@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to respond. Also if you have something you would like us to include in our platform or would like to let us know about please email us as well. By taking a moment to let us know your ideas/concerns you are ensuring that your voice will be heard so action can be taken.

We will be in the student union off and on over the coming week with a contact table so come by and meet us and let us know what you think.

This blog, as well as our website, will serve as a way to let you (the voter) know what we are up to so please check back regularly for information on upcoming campaign events as well as information about us as candidates.

We still have a lot of groups to visit and we do not want to leave anybody out. If you are involved in a club or organization and would like us to come talk to your group please shoot us an e-mail with some contact information for the person in charge of your meetings so we can make sure it is okay with them to stop by. Thanks for reading!
